Shihab Chattoor, a Muslim youth from the state of Kerala, India, made his wish to perform Hajj on foot. But the distance from his house to the city of Makkah is not easy to perform Hajj on foot; But he has already promised. So Shihab will perform the holy Hajj by walking to Makkah, 8640 kilometers away from home.
He started Hajj on June 2. On the 47th day he has traveled a long way and is now in Gujarat, India. He hopes that in 280 days he will be able to walk 8640 km.
He walks 25 kilometers every day.

মাত্র ২০ হাজার টাকায় নিহতের ছেলে তরিকুল ইসলামের পাঁচ বন্ধু এই হত্যাকাণ্ডে অংশ নেয়। গত বৃহস্পতিবার রাত সাড়ে ৯টার দিকে উপজেলার গোয়ালাকান্দা ইউনিয়নের কুতুবপুরে এমন নৃশংস ঘটনা ঘটে।
এ ঘটনায় পরদিন পূর্বধলা থানায় অজ্ঞাতনামা আসামিদের বিরুদ্ধে মামলা করে নিহতের স্ত্রী বকুল বেগম।এ ঘটনায় দায়ের করা অজ্ঞাতনামা হত্যা মামলায় জড়িত তিনজনকে আটক করেছে র্যাব-১৪। আটকদের থানায় হস্তান্তরের প্রক্রিয়া চলছে এবং অন্য আসামিদের আটকের চেষ্টা অব্যাহত রয়েছে বলেও জানায় জানান র্যাব-১৪ এর অধিনায়ক মেজর আখের মুহম্মদ জয়।
বুধবার দুপুরে র্যাব-১৪’র কার্যালয়ে এক সংবাদ সম্মেলনে সাংবাদিকদের এসব তথ্য জানান, মেজর আখের মুহম্মদ জয়।
মেজর আখের মুহম্মদ জয় জানান, মাদক সেবন থেকে ছেলেকে বিরত রাখতে আব্দুল আজিজ তার ছেলেকে প্রায়ই শাসন করতে গিয়ে ধমকসহ মারপিট করতো। এতে বিপ্লব নিজেকে সংশোধন না করে বাবার প্রতি ক্ষিপ্ত হয়ে হত্যার পরিকল্পনা করে। পরিকল্পনা অনুযায়ী ৩০ আগস্ট সন্ধ্যায় শ্যামগঞ্জ বাজারে একটি দোকানের পেছনে বসে বিপ্লব তার বন্ধু বিজয়, রানা, আজাহার, রাসেল ও সাধনদেরকে নগদ বিশ হাজার টাকার বিনিময়ে ভাড়া করে। এছাড়াও দুইটি চাইনিজ কুড়াল কেনার জন্য ১৫০০ টাকা দেয়।
তিনি আরও জানান, পূর্ব পরিকল্পনা অনুযায়ী গত বৃহস্পতিবার রাত ৯টার দিকে বিপ্লব তার বাবাকে ফোন দিয়ে বলে ‘বাবা আমাকে পুলিশে ধরেছে ছাড়িয়ে নিয়া যাও। ’ এমন খবর শুনে আব্দুল আজিজ থানায় যাবার পথে উপজেলার গোয়ালাকান্দা ইউনিয়নের কুতুবপুর এলাকায় পৌঁছালে বিপ্লব এবং আজাহার পেছনদিক থেকে তার হাত ধরে। আর রাসেল এবং সাধন গামছা গলায় পেঁচিয়ে দুইদিক থেকে টেনে ধরে। পরে বিজয় এবং রানা চাইনিজ কুড়াল দিয়ে নিহতের মাথাসহ শরীরের বিভিন্ন স্থানে এলোপাতাড়ি কোপায়। এই ঘটনা ধামাচাপা দেওয়ার জন্য বিপ্লব নিজেই তার বাবাকে হাসপাতালে নিয়ে যেতে চাইলে পথেই মৃত্যু হয়।
