Crossing the coast, Sitrang advanced rapidly further north and north-east and crossed the Chittagong-Barisal coast near Bhola at midnight. At this time, the cyclone quickly weakened and turned into a low pressure after pouring rain. At present, it is said to be in the form of low pressure in Comilla, Dhaka, Brahmanbaria and Barisal and around these areas.

A total of 10 deaths were reported in Comilla, two in Bhola, two in Sirajganj, one each in Shariatpur, Narail and Barguna due to the effect of Sitrang.

On Tuesday (October 25) morning, after the impact of the cyclone, the situation is said to be somewhat normal. After that, all types of domestic and long-distance launch operations have been declared normal by BIWTA.
