District Literary Fair will be held at Netrakona in the month of Vijaya. On December 30 and 31, a two-day fair will be held under the initiative of the Netrakona district administration. Life will return to the literature which has been languishing for many years.

On the occasion of the 2-day District Literary Fair organized by Bangla Academy, a preparatory meeting was organized at the District Commissioner's conference room on Monday afternoon (19 December).

Writers, journalists, leaders of literary, cultural and social organizations were present in the preparatory meeting under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Anjana Khan Majlish and conducted by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Animesh Som.

The Deputy Commissioner said that the two-day Sahitya Mela-2022 will be held on December 30 and 31. The two-day fair at the city's Moktapara Public Hall will feature literature and essay readings and discussions along with writers' workshops. Training will be given in this workshop on different types of literature, rhythm, spelling, sentence structure. People of this district are literary lovers. They can take part in the literature fair and showcase their talents to the new generation. On the first day, there will be essay reading and workshops for new writers.

The next day, there is a day-long poetry reading and essay reading for all literary lovers of the district. In addition to highlighting their own talent, the expansion of the literary field will increase. He mentioned that such an arrangement is mainly aimed at spreading literature.

On this occasion, brave freedom fighter Abdur Rahim, former Awami League office secretary teacher Mazharul Islam, Udichi president Mostafizur Rahman Khan, writer and drama personality Rakhal Biswas, press club editor M Mukhleshur Rahman Khan, journalist Alpana Begum, Sanjay Sarkar and Saifullah Imran of Sahitya Samaj spoke among others.
